Christy was born and raised in Orange County, California, with a knack for doodling. As an introvert, she found drawing provided her with a comfort zone and temporary escape from everyday interaction. One day, she packed her bags and took a road trip up north to the University of California Davis to study design. Out on her own, she had to become more comfortable in her own skin and began learning to accept imperfection as a person and as a designer. Openness, flexibility, experimenting, and trying new things and ideas were ideas she started to embrace (and is still trying to live by).
After graduating in 2011, Christy moved back to Orange County a little wiser, and is working as a freelance graphic designer today. Prone to restlessness and boredom, she's always thinking about what's the next new thing she's gonna make (ideally away from her computer!). Currently, she's into sewing and quilting, making gifts for family and friends. Being the shy and quiet type, she finds that making things for people is a way for her to show love and care.
Christy also loves looking at packaging designs, storefront and display designs at malls, label designs at BevMo, and set designs at the craziness that is Disneyland. And she's lucky to have a partner-in-crime who is willing to share these little mundane moments and big uncertain moments together.
